Browser based AR - it's the future
If you have been involved in #augmentedreality over the past few years, the latest Android Chrome Beta is _really_ exciting.
This video is made purely using the WebXR framework, no third-party AR libraries, no app, no downloads, just full-blown Slam tracking in world space in the browser.
We took the WebXR APIs, plugged in a new renderer (Babylon JS) and made the little demo as a homage to #PokemonGo which to most people is still the go-to example of successful AR.
The performance is incredible, even more so when you remember this is running in a browser.
